Development of New Culinary
Education Programs
Educated Eats provides
its partners with everything needed to develop and implement a culinary arts
program, including:
- drafting or recommending relevant curriculum
- providing safe food handling instruction, materials, and certification
- organizing teacher training/workshops
- planning field trips to restaurants, farms, restaurant suppliers (seafood, produce, bakeries, etc.)
- finding job shadowing/mentoring/job placement opportunities
- preparing for local, regional, and national culinary skills competitions
- recruiting faculty
- scheduling guest speakers
- designing teaching kitchens, or advising on renovations or upgrades of existing culinary facilities
- facilitating and negotiating discounted acquisition of restaurant equipment and food
- ordering teaching materials
- organizing college fairs
- advising schools of industry trends and developments
- providing information on student scholarships for post-secondary education
- organizing culinary career fairs
